Jess vi er back!! It's only about a year since the last update. Not hygge, but fear not- the hyggemaster aka hyggUlf aka stiffmasta aka stivUlf aka steepUlf is back. This time hooking up with tjukkUlf himself for some surfrelated expression session with angryLa aka sintUlf fromma de land offa de Molde. MoldUlf. Check it: 

Kicking off a week of Jumpy hygge with some serriøs packing of the famous automobile. The poor car crumbled under the weight of gear and hopes of glory days. The weatherforecast promised katta&hunda for the next 24 h, so we took the usual Rabbadøbb stail forspell followed by some Verkstaden magic in the lack of  ”lokkande blenkjande und roterande ljos” at the Ferry hotell. Good old Mr Gee (Trubadurix) gave us (approx 20 pers) the complete reportoir and the nynning and klapping was cheering him on.
The night was almost going into timeout when Snorre, Nicco, Severin, Stian the groom and the rest of the crowd entered and suddenly the hyggefaktor yet again rose above sealevel.
Snorre soon strongly argumented his agenda: The jessboss-site had been poorly updated for months and his weekly check-ins weakened his belief in tjukkens motivation for generell hygge. The following week became just the battle we could hope for: The battle between the Gulag of the home scene (including frequent visits to all the relatives in miles radius, cutting trees, emptying cellars of mess, 1600 sleggeslag to break down a concrete tørkestativ, frequent use of axe (not the ”parfume”)) versus hygge, hygge, hygge and atter hygge.

Sunday: Gulag duty for both the lads and working heavily with some good old tømmarmann.

Monday: Same as Sunday. Working hard. Things made worse by the reports from gulehuset-surf posted by angryLA. Things slightly improving with some classic pingpong battles in the Hjellegjerde factory, reviving some old moves, including ”the Henning”.

Tuesday: Looking better, much better! Going for Haramsøya to check out some potential spots, only to find ourselves in a myr, wet on our feet and flat sea. Of course we reached ”kjelleren” with a crash. The super nais weather and wind had brought our hopes up and the fall was almost fatal.
Luckily fate turned reaching Alnes and we finally could enter the water getting some waves. Nice temp, no wind and no people out except ”Vigra-Mørn”, made our hopes rice.

Wednesday: Tjukkulf working. Stivulf, rabbå and B the swede, going to Jakta (1586?moh). Another beatiful day on the mountain. The smell of rev on Øye could not destroy the day. The hike was as always spiced up with the usual discussions: Old røverstorys, spotting of mountains and remarks of dissapointing efforts from other jessbossers (qualifying for the noboss prize at the jessboss julehyggeboord).

Thursday: After some working duty for the boys we once again tried the surf at Alnes. This time the surf had gone up a little bit and no people  in the water. Stivulf got his hopes back up after a lousy start on Tuesday. It`s nothing like some good old dropping in on tjukken. Luckily we didn`t encounter the dreaded Alnes locals, always ready to give hell….

Friday: Last day of hygge. Entering the jumpy for the 9 o`clock ferry and reached Alnes  just to observe the surf had gone down opposite to what the forecast promised. After the usual depping and some snus/ coffee/ buldring/ photos we entered the water and it slowly became better. After a while Angry LA, Sevulf and Bjarte came out and paddled directly to a bit more heavy break further up the bay. Lisj-tuben was working as we can see from the picture and reports from angrulf included the promised Alnes expression session contest, and the usual throwing of meldings between the Alnes and Hustadvika (karan) crowds. The results from the different contests are uncertain…

There he is: SurfUlf aka StivUlf. 

StivUlf aka SurfUlf did paddle most of the day. Why bother standing up on these massif waves when i can lie down here and hygge myself all day. It's almost like a dream come thru just lying here and enjoying the underwater and overwater life with no people out in  the sea. It's just so amzing to experience all this beatiful sealife and also some birds flying along and oh my god how alive I feel when i'm lying here feeling all these naturlege hærrlegdom strauming over me in all these different colours and the feeling of hygge is so strong! So, why bother standing up? No... NoUlf. 

StivUlf demonstrating the stiffest move of the day. When I was younger i loved skiing telemark so much! It's just like a dream come thru to practise these skills in the water!! It's so amzing how smooth i feel. Look at my arm!! It's perfectly symmetrical with my leg!! Beatiful!! TelemarkUlf!!

Severin aka sevUlf is perhaps the best surfer in Sykkylven after stivulf! Massif.
